MINI AERIALS WORKSHOP - Sun 23 September

Due to the popularity of the Aerials Workshops last year, Andy & Lindsay are back to test your skills again with their  

Mini Aerials Routine!

- a series of smaller aerials which you can incorporate more easily into your dancing.

This is the last week of our very popular Summer School - upstairs at St Michael's Church Hall, Portland Road.

There'll also be extra social dancing time so even if the workshop isn't for your level you can still join us for some practice a little later in the evening.

 we are running some taster classes over the next few weeks for anyone wishing to try this delightful dance - or to practise for 5/6 May weekend.

A smooth and rhythmic version of Balboa, Slow Balboa was originally danced by Dean and Nancy Raftery and complements both Lindy and Balboa in the Swing dance genre.  Two days of Improver/Intermediate level workshops with evening dance and Sunday Tea Dance - for the bargain price of £125.

The aim of the weekend is to progress past the basic figures usually taught at taster sessions.  Therefore the minimum requirement for booking is that you are able to dance the Slow Bal 8 count basic.  

If you would like a crash course in the basic, we'll be teaching Slow Bal at some of our regular Monday evening Balboa classes in March and April.

If you already know the basic and would like to get some practice in before the May weekend, we'll be adding one hour practice sessions from 1pm-2pm to Last Stop Balboa on 11 March and 15 April.  Cost £5, to include entry to Last Stop Balboa.

Suitable for anyone wanting to work on their Basic skills technique in more depth as well as those dancers wanting to make the transition to Intermediate level.  Two hours of workshops followed by a Tea Dance (see separate post for details) - an opportunity to practise your new and improved skills!

1)  Find a partner.  Single applicants will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified when a partner becomes available - unless they find one themselves in the meantime!  Don't despair, this doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be unable to attend the workshop, it just might take a little longer to confirm your place as we'd like to balance numbers as much as possible.
