A Day of Balboa with Mel & Jo - 14 Sept
After May's hugely popular workshop, we're delighted to announce that Mel & Jo, are coming back to Oxford to teach another one-day workshop on Sunday 14 September 2014. As two of the UK's foremost Balboa dancers, international competition winners and all-round lovely people, don't miss this opportunity to progress, refine and re-tune your Balboa.
AIMED AT Improver/Intermediate level dancers, the workshop will focus on fundamentals, connection and musicality. As a minimum, you should be familiar with the Pure Bal basics, scoots, paddles, lollies, out & in, come around and basic throw-out. (Please note, the content will be different to the previous workshops in May)
THE DAY will consist of 3 hours of workshops followed by Last Stop Balboa - the Birthday One. In a happy coincidence, both Last Stop and young Monty will be a whole year old on the same day! So we've had a word with Monty and he's agreed to a joint first birthday celebration on condition that his favourite band, Hot Club 42, play Happy Birthday and there's lots of tea & cake. How could we refuse?
